Certified Recovery Counselor
JACKIE MALONE
(she/her)
About Jackie:
Jackie received her Masters in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling at Georgia State University. She is passionate that everyone can find their innate purpose.
As a former piano teacher and lifelong musician, Jackie believes in the discipline of applying oneself, and that strategic relationships and creativity can be transformative.
Her personal journey has informed her decision to become a counselor, and she is uniquely positioned with both experience and tutelage to accompany families, couples and individuals on their paths to recovery. Jackie is attuned to the needs of those struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use, eating disorders, adjustment disorders, attention deficit disorder, and marginalized communities.
Her current psychological philosophy is centered in Feminist and Relational Cultural Theory. Simply, she looks at clients as members of political, cultural, and family systems. Sometimes these systems work for a person, and sometimes they work against them. Jackie believes understanding these systems assists in finding freedom from and in them.
“
You only are free when you realize you belong no place
—you belong every place—no place at all.
The price is high. The reward is great.
