Neil P. Martin, Psy.D.

Licensed Psychologist

“In the depths of winter, I learned that, within me, there was an invincible summer.”                            Albert Camus

Dr. Neil Martin is a Licensed Psychologist who performs a variety of psychological assessments with individuals age 6 and up. He has experience in settings including inpatient hospitals, university counseling centers, the Department of Family and Child Services, and private practice.

Dr. Martin uses comprehensive, computerized, and norm-based assessment practices to help the client achieve a 360-degree view of their current issues/difficulties and to gain perspective on their well-being. He performs assessments in following areas:

  • Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD)

  • Specific Learning Disabilities

    • Dyslexia/Reading Disorder

    • Dyscalculia/Math Disorder

    • Disorders of Written Expression

  • Intellectual Disability

  • Intelligence (IQ) testing for entrance to gifted programs

  • Mood Problems

  • Anxiety Issues

  • Other General Mental Health Issues

  • Personality Testing

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Anger/violence

  • Drug Use/Abuse

To begin the assessment process, you will take part in a 15-30 minute phone consultation to hear about your case, make sure that Dr. Martin is a good fit for you or your child’s concerns, and discuss issues such as scheduling and fees, what testing day will look like, and questions about insurance.

Unfortunately, Dr. Martin is not currently able to accept insurance for evaluations, and payment in full is due at time of service. However, Peachtree Psychology can provide you with a form of documentation called a “superbill” that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement (reimbursement varies).
